Waunifor Craft Studio

Craftybreaks studio at Waunifor

Waunifor is a residential centre for holidays, craft breaks and other events. The studio is open for individuals, families or groups to make bookings to try their hand at a range of crafts - pottery (clay modelling or throwing on the wheel), Paint-your-own-pottery, Mosaics, Bead jewellery, Felt making, Glass painting and Greetings cards. Sessions can be a couple of hours or all day. Visitors do not have to be staying at Waunifor to book sessions - make a fun craft session part of your holiday! There are also pottery classes and craft workshops for people living locally.

Dragon Trails

House Walk

Dragon Trails is a family business offering guided walking holidays from a beautiful country house near Cardigan.

Explore the wonders of the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion Coasts, with their sea-birds, dolphins and spectacular spring flowers, the mysteries of the Preseli hills with their standing stones and Celtic crosses and the wooded beauty of the Gwaun and Teifi Valleys. Come home to home-made cakes and tea by a log fire or croquet on the lawn! Daily walks of 3 to 6 hours with a Welsh-speaking guide.

Holidays run weekly in spring and autumn plus short breaks in winter. Delicious home-cooked food includes full breakfast, packed lunch, tea and three-course dinner with vegetarian option and wine.

Singles, couples and groups all welcome (6 - 10 people). Relaxed house-party atmosphere.

Come and enjoy a day playing with ponies. We have a team of well-trained, quiet, friendly ponies ranging in height to suit all ages and abilities. No horse experience necessary. Some of the activities will include, walking a pony round an obstacle course; painting a pony; learning about why a pony looks like a pony; what ponies like and dislike. Fun for kids and adults alike.

Treat your kids to a day experiencing the wonders of nature. A day filled full of fun and creative activities that will develop their connection with nature and inspire their imagination. The activities will include - nature scavenger hunt, creating a sacred place in nature, sculpting with clay, natural orchestra, willow crafts. There are various on-going projects including creating a butterfly garden in which we are keen to involve the children.

If you enjoy walking, or in this case rambling, you will undoubtedly enjoy a walking adventure with a pony in the beautiful Welsh countryside. The ponies walk at a gentle pace and are great companions to help you relax, have fun and get some exercise. No horse experience necessary. We have ponies to suit all ages and abilities for the whole family. We can tailor the walks to suit you, from an hour to a whole day with a picnic.

Llandysul and Pont Tyweli and the surrounding area has a good network of walks that cover a variety of scenery and level of difficulty and that is still a well kept secret. For longer walking opportunities see The Teifi Trail which is being developed by Carmarthenshire County Council and downloadable walking guides are available.

There is a programme of monthly guided walks as well as information on other local walks, both short and more challenging. Some of the walks are also particularly suited to families. Everybody is welcome to join us on these walks, but children should be accompanied by an adult.
